The ironman account is all I play, and even though it’s stats aren’t as good as my main yet, I do enjoy playing on ironman more. I got burned out on my main after I got the completionist cape and started an ironman. Why don’t you try both and see what you like the most? I have both mainscape (regular account) and an Ironman. It’s someone else’s definition of fun you are talking about. But for things that you can't use at all like extras codices for abilities you already have, then you can trade and turn the GP into bonds to sustain main, iron or both. Keep in mind that an iron shouldn't do this to any duplicate, some are useful like an extra dragon rider lance to level up and disassemble. Usually irons rade extra items to mains this way. The chest is usually use for scavenging or treasure hunts and it's an unlock from a quest called Carnilean rising. Use the key on the main and the main digs up the chest and get the item/items. On iron, you place the item or the noted items in the chest, burry and get a key. The third and more secure options is to use an item called treasure chest to trade from iron to main. You can drop trade or kill the iron, but both are not advisable for expensive items. TL DR: You can't directly trade but here are ways to indirect trade from iron to main, never the other way.
